As always, I've been browsing the web looking for handy tools which let me (easily) link social media and web 2.0 with life-long learning.

Here are a few keepers:

Moodle: free, create and share online learning communities


LectureShare: share lectures and notes (similar to slideshare.net)


Lifelong Learning Network: social networking for lifelong learners


Smart.fm: "the place you go to learn"

E-Learning Community 2.0: "a social site for knowledge seekers to enrich their knowledge through online learning, sharing and socializing to make new friends without boundaries"

Barbelith: "Subcultural engagement for the 21st Century..."

Flashcard Friends: Interesting but does require you to register (for free) before doing anything

Classroom 2.0: One of my favourites, with a helpful community of teachers
